Lima, Peru—The first general meeting of 2018 for UPF Ambassadors for Peace in Peru was held at the Club Arab Palestine in Monterrico, Lima on February 21.
Fifty Ambassadors for Peace gathered at the restaurant and enjoyed a traditional Arabian menu together before meeting with UPF-Peru president, Dr. Trevor Jones. Dr. Jones shared about recent international activities UPF organized and explained the need to renew UPF-Peru’s Peace Council. Many of the Ambassadors for Peace shared their thoughts and ideas about the different committees of the council and registered to be part of the new structure.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Damin Awad, president of the Palestine Cultural Association, presented 60th anniversary pins from the club to Dr. and Mrs. Jones in recognition of their work for peace.
