Pointe Noire, Congo—From June 27 to 28, 2020, UPF-Congo’s Ambassadors for Peace participated in a two-day seminar having the theme “A Heavenly Congo in a Heavenly Africa.” The event was held at the Pointe Noire Chamber of Commerce and marked the appointment of a new Ambassador for Peace.
In his opening remarks, the chairman of UPF-Congo H.E. Driss Senda, paid tribute to the founder of UPF, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon. H.E. Senda, who is also advisor to Congo’s head of state, spoke of Dr. Moon’s efforts to establish peace on all levels of life.
The first day of the seminar was marked by two presentations by the secretary general of the Pointe Noire chapter of UPF-Congo, Augustin Zodji. Mr. Zodji developed the following themes:
- UPF and the vision of its founder,
- The Heavenly Congo,
- The Universal Principles of Peace.
The day was rounded off by a report on the World Summit 2020, made by the leader of the Congo chapter of the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification, Rev. Norbert Ndielle.
The causes of conflict and violence as well as the foundation of a nation of peace were the themes presented by Reverend Ndielle on the second day of the conference. Mr. Zodji presented five universal principles followed by Ambassadors for Peace.
A new Ambassador for Peace was appointed on this occasion. He was the counselor of King Ma Loango.
After taking note of the swearing in of the new Ambassador for Peace, H.E. Senda concluded the event by launching a vibrant call for unity, to bring together all the Ambassadors for Peace in the Congo in order to build peace and to live in spirituality, according to the principles of universal peace.
