Germany-2021-05-16-Düsseldorf Chapter Holds Online Open-Door Day

Düsseldorf, Germany—An online Open-Door Day invited Ambassadors for Peace and other guests to reflect on past UPF activities and look forward to an active future.

UPF-Düsseldorf leaders Sergio and Anja Brina led the meeting, which was held on May 16, 2021.

Sergio Brina opened the event by introducing the founding principles and goals of UPF. He explained Father and Mother Moon’s vision to revive and support the original idea behind the founding of the United Nations.

Mr. Brina explained the meaning of the five basic UPF principles: God as the center, human responsibility, family, living for the sake of others, and cooperation beyond boundaries.

Anja Brina then presented a photo-collage for the enjoyment of the participants, which showed the many wonderful past events organized by UPF.

A particular highlight was interviews with three Düsseldorf Ambassadors for Peace: Petra Heuwind, Dieter Blumfield and Ender Eker.  Sergio Brina had recorded these earlier by video to ensure that the technical aspect was as smooth as possible.

At the end, participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas, ask questions or simply give feedback. Many expressed how much they missed being able to meet each other and do things together, and they said they looked forward to the time when this again will be possible.
