16 Knights Templar in Peru Become Ambassadors for Peace

Lima, Peru—UPF-Peru inducted 16 new Ambassadors for Peace from the Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem of Knights Templar—Grand Priory of Peru at its headquarters on May 29, 2021. Mr. Jaime Fernández, Secretary General of UPF-Peru, led the ceremony.
Dr. Trevor Jones, Executive President of UPF-Peru, gave the opening remarks, introducing the origins, scope and programs of UPF. Dr. Jones highlighted the work of Ambassadors for Peace around the world in their efforts to build a world of everlasting peace, a global family under God.
As part of the program, a video was shown on the background of the Sunhak Peace Prize, one of the worldwide peace initiatives of UPF’s founders.
The representative of the Knights Templar in Peru, Prior Dr. José Santos Gamarra Soto, offered thanks to Dr. Jones and UPF-Peru for this important recognition, reaffirming the order’s commitment to work in alliance with UPF-Peru in peace initiatives and social services to help those most in need. Finally, the Knights Templar gave recognition to UPF-Peru in gratitude for their inauguration as new Ambassadors for Peace.
