UPF-Brazil Appoints New Ambassadors for Peace

Brazil—On July 20, 2021, UPF-Brazil held a meeting to appoint new Ambassadors for Peace with the objective of increasing the scope of the UPF in Brazil and strengthening links for the promotion of peace. People who share the same ideal of peace proclaimed by the UPF received the title of Ambassador for Peace. Promoted online by the Zoom platform and broadcast on YouTube, the event was attended by 64 people at the Zoom platform and 669 viewers on YouTube.
The master of ceremonies for the event, Pr. Walisson Delano, the pastor representing the UPF and FFWPU in Distrito Federal – Brazil, welcomed everyone present and emphasized the importance of strengthening links for peace.
After the singing of the National Anthem of Brazil by Major Hardalesson de Araujo, Pr. Boubacar Diallo, president of the IAPD in Brazil, blessed the event with a prayer.
Then, Ms. Eliza Ferreira, director of the Public Relations Department of the UPF and FFWPU, thanked everyone for their presence, and expressed her great satisfaction in meeting people who share the same will and mission to build peace.
A video overview of the UPF was shown, followed by an explanation of the mission of the Ambassadors given by the secretary general of the UPF in South America and the president of the UPF in Brazil, Dr. Simão Ferabolli. He said an Ambassador for Peace seeks to recognize the good deeds carried out in society and build bridges between different areas of action. Several Ambassadors then gave a brief report about their experiences working together with the UPF.
This was followed by the installation ceremony for the 12 new Ambassadors for Peace. Each one of them expressed their thanks for the appointment and promised to work for peace in their area. In closing, the master of ceremonies encouraged the Ambassadors to carry out activities to promote peace.
