Tallinn, Estonia—A meeting in the UPF Peace Embassy recalled the visit of UPF founders Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon during their worldwide UPF inaugural tour in 2005.
Jack Corley, the UPF president for Eastern Europe, gave welcoming remarks via an online connection. On October 22, 2005, he had been the emcee at Reverend Moon’s public speech in Tallinn.
In his online message, Mr. Corley explained why Korean reunification, a major focus of UPF, is essential for the achievement of world peace.
UPF-Estonia President Avo Martinson reported on international UPF activities of recent years—the Rally of Hope series, Think Tank 2022, the International Peace Highway project, International Leadership Conferences, and the World Summit—as well as UPF activities in Estonia.
Mr. Martinson then led a discussion on Estonia’s possible role in Korean reunification. The meeting on October 23, 2021, had an audience of about 20, both in person and online.
Later that day, the president of the Estonian-Korean Association, who is an Ambassador for Peace, invited Avo and Olga Martinson to her home to meet with several women who have their roots on the Korean Peninsula. They were very interested to learn about UPF efforts for Korean reunification.
