Lusaka, Zambia - Eleven members of the Peace Council of UPF-Zambia took part in a Special Consultation on April 9 at the Peace Embassy. In his opening speech, the Chairman of UPF-Zambia Chapter, Hon. Gen. Malimba N. Masheke, highlighted the activities undertaken by affiliates of the Universal Peace Federation, including the Women's Federation for World Peace, the Youth Federation for World Peace, and the International Relief Friendship Foundation.
The focus was to develop a Strategic Plan for educating Ambassadors for Peace during 2010 and ways to broaden relationships with other stakeholders to increase the impact of the peacebuilding activities that various groups are doing on their own.
Participants in the meeting expressed their deep desire to be active in peace activities in Zambia.
