UPF Meets With Secretary General of Central American Integration System

San Salvador, El Salvador—On November 28, 2017, the president of UPF-Central America and the Caribbean, Dr. Charles S. Yang, met with the new secretary general of the Central American Integration System (Sistema de la Integración Centroamericana, or SICA), the former president of Guatemala, Hon. Vinicio Cerezo Arevalo at the general secretariat of SICA in San Salvador, the capital of El Salvador.
Topics such as peace, cooperation and regional integration; the challenges of the future; the contributions UPF can make to support the goals and vision of SICA; and how UPF and SICA can work together to advance peace in Central America were discussed. Dr. Yang invited Hon. Arevalo to participate in UPF’s next International Leadership Conference, which is scheduled to take place in Seoul, Korea in February 2018.
