Youth Assembly Held in Malaysia

Johor, Malaysia—On November 9, 2017, UPF co-organized the Peace Loving Youth Assembly (PLYA) inaugurating the Youth and Students for Peace Malaysia, which was held at the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) in the southern state of Johor.
The one-day event focused on character building, leadership development and fostering peace on campus. Vice chancellor of the UTHM, Prof. Dr. Wahid Bin officiated the opening ceremony, and the director of UPF-Malaysia, Rev. Yutaka Yamada delivered the welcoming remarks. Later, an Ambassador for Peace award was presented to Dr. Bin.
