Dominican Republic Peace Event Calls for UN Renewal

The master of ceremonies, Lic. Francia Polanco, welcomed a large audience to Global Peace Tour event at the auditorium of the University of Santo Domingo on April 21. After special music by Japanese goodwill ambassadors, Rev. Michael Floyd, vicar of the Epiphany Episcopal Church, offered an invocation.
Greetings were given by the University Vice-President, Dr. Ivan Grullon, and a congratulatory message by Senator German Castro. Rev. Kyung Jin Kim expressed his appreciation for the work of the Ambassadors for Peace in the Dominican Republic, and Lic. César Regalado read the keynote address. Dr. Diana Contreras was among several speakers calling for renewal of the United Nations and a focus on service.
