Novosibirsk, Russia - The Foresight Peacemakers' Club met at the UPF headquarters in Novosibirsk on January 24. The main object of the club’s activity is to promote lasting peace in Novosibirsk.
The meeting started with an interesting training that helped participants get to know each other and create an atmosphere of trust and unity. Then all got down to work. The head of the club, Dmitry Oficerov, gave a presentation in which he explained theme of peacemaking in detail. He showed participants ways to promote tolerance, unity, and true harmony in interreligious relations.
After a brief discussion, the participants were divided into groups. Each group created an appeal to those who can contribute to strengthening interreligious peace: officials, teachers, lawyers, and religious leaders. All participants enthusiastically proposed interesting and creative ideas. Each group composed a motto and presented a draft of their poster on the theme "Unity is our strength, and diversity is our beauty." Summing up the results of the roundtable, many said that much remains to do, but the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. And this step was successfully taken.
