Asia-Indonesia-2015-10-03-slides-Character Education Seminar Inspires Indonesian Students

Medan, Indonesia—The Asia International Friendship College in Medan, capital city of North Sumatra province in Indonesia, invited Mrs. Ursula McLackland, secretary general of UPF-Asia and special envoy to Indonesia, to hold a character education seminar on October 3, 2105, on the theme “College, Career, Cash and Character.” Student interest in this event was overwhelming. Instead of the originally anticipated audience of 300, a total of 500 people participated in the event, including the college’s principal, faculty and students.

Prof. Dr. Berlin Sibarani, principal of the college, gave the opening remarks.

Mrs. McLackland spoke about UPF founders, Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon.

During the question and answer session, a teacher was eager to know how to teach the importance of pure love and sexual morality to young people, and a student asked how to know right from wrong.

The video presentation, “Ryan’s Well,” brought tears to many of the participants and inspired them to live for the sake of others.

The organizers asked UPF to come again next year to hold another seminar at the college.
