Argentina—Ambassador for Peace Liliana Hernández planted two native trees with the governor of Misiones province, Dr. Oscar Herrera Ahuad, in the city of Comandante Andresito. The event took place on January 20, 2022, under the campaign “Let’s Plant Trees: Let’s Sow Peace,” which promotes the literary-ecological program “Y volverán a ser árboles” and UPF-Argentina. This effort committed to peace and environmental protection was possible thanks to the city’s Mayor, Bruno Beck, and the president of the Teko Porá Foundation, Marcela Molina.
A pink trumpet tree and a tree of the tipuana tipu species were planted at Comandante Andresito Guacurarí park, located in the city of Comandante Andresito in northern Misiones. This is the newest missionary municipality and one with the highest growth, named after the Guaraní leader Andresito Guacurarí (1778-1821).
Liliana Hernández, journalist and author of two books on healthy diets, developed many activities during her visit to Comandante Andresito, located near the border with Brazil. She also delivered the Universal Peace Flag to the Teko Porá Foundation and Mayor Bruno Beck. She was accompanied by her 15-year-old grandson, a member of the Argentinian Writers Society recognized for his literary production.
