The Eurasian Region delegation of 50 people attended the Ambassadors for Peace Leadership Seminar under the theme "Providing Vision and Leadership at a Time of Global Crisis" which took place in Seoul, Korea, June 12-16, 2007. The Eurasian Region delegation made up one third of all participants, who came from more than 50 nations.

During the opening banquet on June 12, Mrs. Enkh-Erdene Chuluundorj, Advisor of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party, the ruling party of Mongolia, gave special greetings on behalf of the international guests.

On June 14 the delegates heard lectures on the Significance of Spirituality and the Religious Life and on the Significance of Marriage, Family and the Blessing. These made a deep impression on the Ambassadors for Peace. The next day of the seminar was devoted to several UPF presentations on peace initiatives, followed by sightseeing.

This was a remarkable seminar. Eurasian delegates had wonderful experiences. Mr. Tsokiev from St. Petersburg, Russia, was very happy to receive an Ambassador for Peace certificate on the stage. He said, "We should make a special task force of Ambassadors for Peace to prevent world conflicts. We should put the vision of UPF into practice." Prof. Marchuk from Moscow, Russia, was touched by the event a lot. Mrs. Aripova from Uzbekistan said that she believed that God had enabled her to overcome many the obstacles she faced in coming to the program.

Ruta Pels from Estonia was attending for the second time. Since she takes part in spiritual activities in her hometown, she was very impressed by the lecture about the Significance of the Religious Life and Spirituality. She said "If the people of the world learn these values and practice them, they will change their own lives and thus change their families, nations and the world."

Larisa Iefymenko from the Ukraine came for the first time. She said that for the first time in her life she was listening to the lectures with deep interest and enthusiasm about "simple truths" and common principles. She wants to promote these ideas in her country and use the materials from this conference in the Documentary Film Festival that she founded in the Ukraine.

UPF Chairman, Rev. Chung Hwan Kwak, held a special meeting with the large Mongolian delegation, describing the role of the Ambassadors for Peace movement and the Mongolian Peoples' Federation for World Peace.
