Latvia-2009-10-23-Peace Council Hears Reports of Korea Conference

Riga, Latvia - On October 23 at the Latvian Peace Embassy Ambassadors for Peace held a meeting of the Latvia Peace Council. The main topic was the report about the International Leadership Conference and marriage blessing that took place in Korea earlier that month.

After an account of this historical event and its meaning by Jacques Marion, the president of UPF-Latvia, Leon Bojars, gave a report. He and his wife participated in the Blessing ceremony as representatives of Latvia. Mr Bojars shared his experience during the meeting the following day with Rev. Moon at the Peace Palace. He touched the hearts of the people in the room with his enthusiasm and bright spirit upon returning from Korea.

Vadim Bolshakov told about the upcoming service project on the banks of Lake Razna, the “Latvian Baikal,” and many inspired Ambassadors for Peace were inspired by the idea expressed a desire to participate in creating a tourist path.
