Montevideo, Uruguay - Rev. In Jin Moon brought the music and spirit of her New York-based Lovin' Life Ministries to Montevideo for the August 24 "Assembly to Proclaim the Word," expanding a series of assemblies that began in Korea and the US a few weeks earlier.
Over 200 persons came to the Peace Embassy (a national historical site) to participate in what became a transcendental event. Academics, diplomats, national representatives, Ambassadors for Peace, and people of faith met together in a climate of fraternity and true love.
With a deep heart of filial piety, In Jin Moon expressed her unconditional love for God and for her father, UPF Founder Rev. Sun Myung Moon. She called attention to the importance of placing God at the center of our lives as individuals and families. Then God can reach out through us to our communities and the world.
In the end, the problems that afflict humanity can only be resolved through the vision that we are all members of “One Family under God.”
For devotions the following morning she counseled young people about finding happiness and fulfillment in life. She referred to Michael Jackson, a great pop artist. But when he passed to the spirit world, he could not take his material things or CDs with him she said. "The only thing we can take with us to the next world is what we invest in our family and living for others centered on God."
In a lunch conversation with local businessmen, diplomats, church leaders, and other social leaders, she talked about her father's investment in the news media in Uruguay and the Americas, initially to counter the spread of godless communism and more recently to promote family values.
