Peace Seminars Offered to Afghan Youth

Kabul, Afghanistan - Throughout the year of 2010 UPF Afghanistan has been giving Basic Peace Seminars to young Afghanis reinforcing the concept of living for the sake of others. More than 10 Basic Peace Seminars have been held, educating more than 300 Young Ambassadors for Peace to become peacemakers and to serve their community. These seminars have been followed by Advanced Peace Seminars with a total of more than 60 participating.
These participants become active Young Ambassadors for Peace and have conducted numerous cleaning projects throughout the city including cleaning the Kabul River. Also more than 250 Young Ambassadors for Peace participated in a tree-planting program in March 2010.
