UPF-India: Highlights of 2010

UPF-India's annual report for 2010 highlights the United Nations International Day of Peace, Day of Families, and Women's Day.
On March 8, UPF-Sikkim celebrated the International Day of Women under the theme Women’s Movement for Real Change. Ms. Kalawati Subba, Member of the State Planning Commission, was the Chief Guest. One Ambassador for Peace was appointed during the celebration. Around 50 participants attended the program.
United Nations International Day of Families
On May 15, UPF-Sikkim celebrated the International Day of Families under the theme of Challenges to the Security of the Human Family. Shri Sanchaman Limboo, Deputy Chairman of the State Planning Commission, was the Chief Guest. Two Ambassadors for Peace were appointed, and around 250 participants joined the celebration.
United Nations International Day of Peace
On September 21, UPF-Sikkim celebrated the International Day of Peace under the theme of Youth for Peace and Development. Hon. Gurung was the Chief Guest. One Ambassador for Peace was appointed, and around 100 participants joined the celebration.
