Principles of Peacemaking Taught in Novosibirsk

Novosibirsk, Russia - Nowadays it is impossible to achieve good results in serving the people when acting single-handedly. Members of grassroots organizations and spiritual movements are gradually coming to understand this point. Public leaders admit also the fact that if you adhere to the principle “my ideology is good and yours is improper,” you cannot get very far.
On February 25, the leader of UPF-Novosibirsk, Dmitry Oficerov, began a series of workshops and programs about good leadership. During the seminars, participants study core values and principles taught by UPF. This time the topic was “Initial ideal of lasting peace: Need for new vision of leadership in the period of global crises.” The workshop took place at the office of the Women’s Initiative and Creative Association of Novosibirsk.
Dmitry Oficerov shared with participants the vision of good governance, that a true leader is distinguished by his or her caring parental heart. Besides, he added that stability, love, care, and support of the family system and its structure contribute very important elements for establishing lasting peace and development. Also he told about initiatives and projects of the UPF in different parts of the world.
After the official part, we started sharing opinions and personal information. Latyrgina Nadezhda Alexandrovna informed the that their Women’s Association already started conducting a series of events similar to the project “City helps the village”, in the village of Kondourovo, 100 km from Novosibirsk. In conclusion, she proposed several joint projects. One of them is organizing a workshop about good governance for the administration of Novosibirsk.
During the dialogue, the schedule for joint projects was worked out. Carrying these out will be a big challenge, but the value of such projects is obvious.
