Ryazan, Russia - A workshop on the origin and resolution of conflicts took place on February 27. The event was attended by public figures and representatives of NGOs of the city.
Ryazan is a small town in Central Russia. The hometown of Sergey Esenin the poet, Alexander Solzhenitsyn the writer, and a number of famous Russian scientists and artists, Ryazan is a home of many bright intellectuals of Russia today.
People wonder about what is needed for a person to be happy. They question whether human spirituality needs to be developed beginning in childhood. Spirituality and morality are interconnected and inseparable from each other. People often dispute about what religions to follow, what churches to attend. Is it not time now to think about erecting the temple in the mind of each person?
The workshop was appeal to people of different ages. The lecturer was Konstantin Krylov, Secretary General of UPF-Russia. His lectures explained that the nature of conflict is rooted very deep and it can be dissolved only by training ourselves and developing our hearts. A truly moral and spiritual rich human being is not able to commit a crime, debase, or hurt others. The Golden Rule dictates that we should treat others the way we would like to be treated.
