Panevezys, Lithuania - UPF-Lithuania held a meeting on March 23 with the “Brotherhood of January 13th” — an NGO from Panevezys, one of the larger cities in Lithuania. The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen connections with that organization that began when its members participated in the World Peace Tours in Lithuania. UPF has continued cooperating with them and afterwards.
This organization proposed meeting in a hall in the museum dedicated to Lithuanian independence. UPF-Lithuania coordinator Andrius Jurkunas gave a lecture about world peace, and Jurate Chocholskiene served as MC. Mrs. Zita Rudiene, an Ambassador for Peace, gave welcoming remarks on behalf of UPF.
The meeting went well, with about 30 people in attendance. Further meetings are being planned with other organizations.
