Tbilisi, Georgia - A presentation about the UPF and Ambassadors for Peace activities for members of the Pushkin Society “Orion,” an association of Russian-speaking writers in Georgia, took place on March 12. The event was initiated with the support of the chair of the Russian-speaking Journalists Association, Ambassador for Peace Mikhail Aidinov. The key address was delivered by the chair of UPF-Georgia, Vitaly Maximov.
Participants spoke about the UPF peacemaking programs and other ideas for establishing world peace. After the presentation, there followed a lively talk about the organization and its founder, Dr. Sun Myung Moon. Men of letters who grew up in communist times were able to see the peacemaking activity and achievements of Dr. Moon and the Universal Peace Federation in a new light.
The event was attended by more than 40 participants, who shared their enthusiasm and commitment to world peace.
