Novosibirsk, Russia - Ambassadors for Peace participated in a series of workshops and programs on leadership in which they received information about UPF’s core values and principles. As in many nations, the situation in Russia may be described as confused, with people roaming in a labyrinth of ideas. UPF-Siberia took this opportunity to offer educational programs and promote new ideas.

A meeting of Ambassadors for Peace related to the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination took place on March 22. Dmitry Oficerov gave a presentation on “UPF’s Five Principles of Peace.” One participant shared her impressions after reading the UPF founder’s autobiography.

On March 29, Ambassadors for Peace attended a lecture about vision of Dr. Sun Myung Moon. Dmitry Oficerov spoke on “The need for new vision at the age of a global crisis: The world of God’s original ideal.” The lecture was followed by a lively discussion on the need for creating a pure love movement in the media. During the meetings, there were two presentations on peace issues: children’s drawings about a world free of nuclear weapons, and a photo exhibition showing the harm of racial discrimination.

Similar educational programs will be scheduled on a weekly basis.
