Nice, France - A new Peace Embassy was inaugurated on July 1 in Nice, in the south of France near Monaco. Patrick Jouan started by welcoming the 30 guests. He gave two presentations. One was a video and the other a PowerPoint about UPF. Afterwards, photos were taken in front of the Peace Embassy sign on the wall at the entrance.
Then participants had lunch in the garden after a prayer of blessing by Pastor Claudel and a speech from Rabbi Joseph Abittan, the main rabbi for the South of France, on "the Culture of Peace".
Proceedings concluded with cake, and everybody was reportedly joyful and inspired.
