Toronto, Canada - Rev. Mitch Dixon spoke at a September 14 meeting of Ambassadors for Peace about the core principles of Universal Peace Federation, which are the concept of one family under God, spiritual connectivity which enhances moral values within humans, cohesive values within families, living for the sake of others, and striving to build and continually maintain peace through cooperation among people.
There are several areas where UPF-Canada could focus its efforts: interfaith peacebuilding, maintaining close relationship with the United Nations, strengthening marriage and family, promoting peace and security, providing humanitarian services to the needy, and forging partnership with other organizations.
Dr. Hoossen Auckberaullee introduced Dr. Faisal Al Rfouh, Dr. Sahar Al Majali and Dr. Tarique Al Rfouh, a young medical school graduate from Jordan. He expressed appreciation to Dr. Rfouh's family and their support of UPF and to Jordan’s government for its commitment to interfaith cooperation.
A special birthday celebration was organized for Mukhtar Khokhar, and everyone participated with a joyous mood.
A group photograph was organized after the closing prayer, which was offered by Victor Martinez.
