Las Vegas, USA - A seminar for Nigerian Ambassadors for Peace on “Building World Peace through the Family Peace Blessing” took place in Las Vegas, USA, Oct.- 27 through Nov. 3. It offered Ambassadors for Peace who represent diverse sections of society the insights, resources and status needed to address marriage and family issues.
Through this seminar, Ambassadors for Peace were equipped with principles of peacebuilding and challenged to encourage the younger generation to build strong and stable families, which are the bases for stable, peaceful and prosperous societies and nations. The seminar included presentations on the core teachings of UPF Founders, Rev. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon, espousing universal values and best practices necessary to create stable families.
It is the wish of UPF Founders that Ambassadors for Peace should visit Las Vegas, a city to which Rev. Moon paid much attention in his final years. A tour of the city at night offers exciting attractions, as well as a more vivid sense of what it would take to transform our world. Visits to the Grand Canyon (one of the most spectacular works of nature), the Hoover Dam (one of the greatest engineering masterpieces of the 20th century), and Lake Meade, a vast reservoir formed by the dam accompanied excursions to projects in the Las Vegas area established by UPF Founder, such as the Won Mo Boat factory and the Wongu University of Oriental Medicine.
Ambassadors for Peace based in Las Vegas joined the program for both the presentations and interactive sessions, creating opportunities for the Nigerian delegation to connect with American Ambassadors for Peace on many levels.
A special closing banquet featured a speech the Rev. Kwon Jin Moon and presentation of certificates of participation.
