Toronto, Canada - At UPF-Canada’s monthly meeting on Jan. 10, 2015, the topics of discussion were spirituality and true peace.
The author Qamrul A. Khanson spoke on “Spirituality Defined and Explained.”
“Spirituality is higher levels of consciousness and self-transformation through exerted efforts from the present state of understanding to a position of acceptance which transforms self into a most powerful stable being,” Mr. Khanson explained.
Mitch Dixon, the co-chair of UPF-Canada’s Central District, spoke on “Fundamentals of True Peace,” based on the teaching of UPF Founder Dr. Sun Myung Moon. The first step in solving the world's problems, Mr. Dixon said, is to find God. The second step: Expel Satan from this world. The third: Establish men and women who have accomplished the unity of mind and body. We can recover our "original selves" only when we submit absolutely to the commands of our conscience, Mr. Dixon said.
Following his talk, Mr. Dixon introduced Dr. Hoossen Auckberaullee, the other Central District co-chair, and the two invited all the attendees to a celebration of the shared birthdays of the late Dr. Moon and his wife, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon. Dr. Moon Shik Kim, chair of UPF-Canada, distributed tickets for the February 21 celebration.
