Manzini, Swaziland—Ambassadors for Peace and other guests attending a seminar gained a vision of Swaziland as a leader in building peace in the world.
Thirty-eight guests attended a seminar entitled “A Vision for Peace, One Family under God,” which was held on May 30, 2015, in the George Hotel in Manzini, the commercial hub of Swaziland.
The seminar was conducted by UPF-Africa Regional Vice President Jean Augustin Ghomsi, who is also the regional director for UPF-Southern Africa.
Hon. Titus Thwala, a member of the Swaziland Parliament who was the program director of the seminar, encouraged the participants to take an active role in peacemaking and to be responsive to the needs of humanity by “living for the sake of others.”
UPF-Swaziland Deputy Secretary General Charles Mbingo paid tribute to UPF Founder Dr. Sun Myung Moon “for his global vision and labor of love for humanity in building peace and resolving human suffering in the world.” Dr. Moon set an illustrious example of selfless service that we should all strive to emulate, he said.
Further, Charles Mbingo said, Swaziland had favorable conditions and the opportunity to become a model nation and a leader in building and promoting peace in the world. He called for collaboration with partners and other role players in initiating educational and humanitarian programs that would overcome poverty, transform lives, build leadership capacity and promote peace.
