Nigeria-2015-09-30-AfP-National Action Committee on Corruption in Nigeria

Abuja, Nigeria—Ambassadors for Peace from all over Nigeria have formed a National Action Committee on Corruption.

About 60 Ambassadors for Peace traveled to the national capital, Abuja, on September 30, 2015, for the formal inauguration of the Ambassadors for Peace National Action Committee on Corruption in Nigeria.

Chief Mike Ozekhome, senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN), administered the oath to the new members of the anti-corruption committee.

The oath followed an opening address by Dr. Raphael Ogar Oko, UPF-Nigeria secretary general. The keynote lecture, which emphasized character development as the solution to corruption in Nigeria, was written by the UPF-United Kingdom secretary general and delivered by Anthonia Osayande, an Ambassador for Peace from UPF-United Kingdom.

The second presentation, by Dr. George C. Ikpot, UPF-Nigeria director of international affairs, emphasized the need to strengthen families to combat corruption.

The Radio Nigeria network reported about the event on the network news on October 1, 2015.
