Italian UPF and Affiliated Groups Hold Peacebuilding Seminar

Bergamo, Italy—UPF Ambassadors for Peace and contacts of UPF’s affiliated organizations attended a peacebuilding seminar.
The meeting, which took place on October 24, 2015, at the Donizetti hotel, was organized by the Bergamo chapters of UPF, Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP) and Family Federation for World Peace and Unification (FFWPU).
The objective was to convey the deeper spiritual understanding that underpins the vision and peace initiatives of the three federations.
In three sessions the lecturers presented: the ideal vision for peacebuilding; the birth and evolution of human conflict; and the Interfaith Peace Blessing as a way to recover the original ideal and hence a reality of true and lasting peace.
The lectures were followed with keen interest by the 35 participants, 22 of whom were Ambassadors for Peace and distinguished guests. Presentations were followed by a final discussion, after which the attendees confirmed their interest in future seminars.
The meeting ended with lunch, which allowed further time for familiarity and consolidation of friendships.
