Fiji-2015-11-16-Fiji Holds Memorial Ceremony for Paris Terror Victims

Nausori, Fiji—UPF and FFWPU of Fiji held a memorial ceremony in honor of the victims of the November 13, 2015, terror attacks in Paris.

Representatives of various faith communities on the Pacific island nation offered prayers at the ceremony, which was held on November 16 at Saraswati College, a secondary school in the town of Nausori. Staff and students of the school attended the ceremony.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants signed their names to the event banner. Later, representatives of UPF and FFWPU, including Ambassadors for Peace, visited the French Embassy in Suva, the capital of Fiji. They signed a condolence book set up in honor of the Paris terror victims and presented the banner from the memorial ceremony, with all the participants’ signatures, to the French Embassy’s second secretary.
