Melbourne, Australia—Ambassadors for Peace learned about Peace Leadership in a seminar held by UPF-Australia on June 18, 2016.
The seminar sought to open a conversation on universally shared values that can be used to build social cohesion in a multicultural and multi-faith Australia.
Held jointly with the Australian chapter of Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP), an affiliated organization, the seminar examined the values and practices that either foster or undermine peacebuilding.
This was the third of a series of four seminars held in 2016 under the title "The Search for Shared Values in a Multicultural Australia." The four seminars have explored the moral, spiritual and methodological principles underpinning the work of UPF. These principles are being examined in order to foster well-being and address the moral and social problems facing Australia.
In addition, it was our great honor to have three new Ambassadors for Peace join our ranks who work in the areas of health and media.
