London, United Kingdom—A Russian Ambassador for Peace who is bicycling around the world stopped by the UPF offices in London.
Ildus Yanyshev began his journey in April from his hometown of Kazan, the capital of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan. His “Global Bike Tour of Peace and Goodwill” will cover 25,000 kilometers (more than 15,534 miles) in support of the UPF "Peace Road" project. On different sections of the road, other cyclists who support the concept of bicycling for peace have made plans to join him.
On August 31, 2017, Mr. Yanyshev visited the UPF offices in central London and met UPF-UK Secretary General Robin Marsh and Director Margaret Ali. [Video Link]
Mr. Yanyshev, a businessman who is also the president of the Association of Bicyclists in Tatarstan, advocates the use of bicycles for peacemaking, humanitarian, environmental, transportation, charitable, and health purposes.
