Ufa, Russia—The local branch of UPF supported an annual “Library Evening” tradition by organizing an exciting program for different ages.
The event was held on April 21, 2018, at City Library No. 17 in Ufa, the capital of the Russian Republic of Bashkortostan.
The program included several master classes for children, in which they made craft items and learned drawing. It was also an opportunity to give awards to outstanding local families.
Among the participants were athletes from the Wushu Federation of the Republic of Bashkortostan, who gave a wonderful demonstration of the Chinese martial art. These children with their coach, Ambassador for Peace Marcel I. Zaripov, have participated in many international competitions.
Olga Kim, a local leader of UPF, gave a presentation on the federation's volunteer activities, in particular, the International Highway Project (Peace Road). After all, roads must connect people, and a goal of UPF is creating a culture of neighborliness, peace, and harmony.
