European IAPD Office Opens in Vienna

Vienna, Austria—The Interreligious Association for Peace and Development (IAPD) opened its European office in the premises of Peace Museum Vienna in the city center.
The opening ceremony took place on October 18, 2018, led by UPF-Austria President Peter Haider. The event was attended by Ambassadors for Peace, supporters of UPF and affiliated organizations, and UPF core staff.
The main speaker was Dr. Michael Balcomb, the regional chair of UPF for Europe and the Middle East. He gave an inspiring report about the 2018 Balkans Peace Road that had just finished its tour of seven nations.
Dr. Ali Ahmad, the director of Peace Museum Vienna, spoke about the establishment of the museum in June 2014 and expressed his hope for future cooperation of the two organizations.
Afterward Ambassadors for Peace reported on their activities and made plans for the future.
