Moscow, Russia—UPF representatives took part in a meeting of the working group on the control of air quality in the Moscow Region.
The meeting was held on September 30, 2020, in the Lyubertsy District under the leadership of V.V. Vorontsov.
During the meeting, it was decided to take air samples at the most polluted locations together with representatives of enterprises that may be potential sources of air pollution.
Dmitry Samko, the chair of UPF-Moscow, proposed not to lose sight of the importance of environmental education for young people. He suggested that the positive experience of environmental lessons for schoolchildren that were conducted on September 1, the first day of school, should be continued.
The working group decided to launch a number of programs for schoolchildren after quarantine measures in schools were relaxed.
