UPF-Portugal Invited to Gandhi Birthday Celebration

Lisbon, Portugal—The Hindu Community of Portugal invited UPF to a celebration of Mahatma Gandhi’s 152nd birthday and India’s Independence Day.
India’s ambassador to Portugal and the president of the local Parish Council were among the attendees of the event that was held at the Hindu community’s temple on October 2, 2021.
The program consisted of the laying of flowers next to a statue of Gandhi and his wife, an exhibition and a lecture on Gandhi's life, followed by a cultural event.
