Address to Summit 2022 and Leadership Conference,
Seoul, Korea, August 11-15, 2022
First, I would like to thank the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), for the invitation that they gave me to the Peace World Summit 2022.
Through the Summit, therefore, it is possible to promote the ideals of interdependence, mutual prosperity and shared universal values that have been the slogan of the UPF and its global network of Ambassadors for Peace.
That’s why I confess to you, while I was holding a public position, I was in the Republic of Korea and there I got to know the extraordinary full-time teaching that is done in South Korea.
And that’s what made me, when I assumed the Presidency of the Federative Republic of Brazil, produce a reform of secondary education with the creation of thousands and thousands of full-time teaching positions.
This was an example that I brought back from my trip to the Republic of Korea. That’s why I want once again to thank Dr. Moon for the invitation.
