Address to Summit 2022 and Leadership Conference,
Seoul, Korea, August 11-15, 2022
Respected Mother of Peace, ladies and gentlemen, ministers, members of parliament, distinguished religious leaders, ladies and gentlemen, it’s a great honor for me to represent the president of Niger, Mr. Mohamed Bazoumn, at this important event.
We are gathered today to sign the historical protocol between Dr. Yun Young-ho, co-chair of the Executive Committee of Summit 2022 and Leadership Conference representing UPF and His Excellency Brigi Rafini of Niger and current Secretary-General of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN–SAD) in the presence of ministers of youth of CEN-SAD.
I want to read a note from President Bazoumn:
Mr. Director General, with great pleasure I write to you to express my gratitude following your correspondence of June 6, 2022. I take this opportunity to convey my best regards to Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the Mother of Peace, Co-Founder of the Universal Peace Federation. I also thank you for the commitment made at our meeting on May 20, 2022 on several issues including the education of young girls. We are convinced that the education of young girls is an essential condition for the development of a people and the prosperity of a nation. That is why the president of the republic’s program, the Renaissance Act 3 (an ambitious plan to boost the economy and attract new investors, as well as stabilize border areas and improve the governance of the public sector. It builds on the first two “Renaissance” programs, first launched by former president Mahamadou Issoufou in 2011), makes it a priority. Also, we have no problem with your proposal to have the minister of National Education and the minister of Youth and Sports participate in a special meeting in Seoul, Korea from August 11 - 15, 2022 as part of the exchanges relating to the implementation of the commitments made in Niamey, while thanking the Mother of Peace, Dr. Moon, especially for her love for world peace. Please accept, Mr. Director General, the expression of my greetings.
