D. Itzik: Address to World Summit 2019

Address to World Summit 2019, Seoul, Korea, February 7–11, 2019

Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, good evening to you all.

My name is Dalia Itzik, I come from Israel, Jerusalem, the holy land—and I offer greetings from my country to all of you.

My sisters and brothers, I would like to take this opportunity to speak about a very special story, a very special family, a very special human being, about a very unique woman: Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon.

We, politicians, commit ourselves from time to time to make things better, to change and correct things. But we don’t always succeed in fulfilling our commitments.

Dr. Moon, however, is not a politician; she is a private citizen. She could choose a very comfortable life—and yet, she chose to act.

The nature of human beings is that sometimes we talk more and act less. But this very special woman doesn't just talk, she acts on a daily basis. She dedicates her life and her family life to open doors and open hearts, and invests money, in order to make the world a better place to live in.

I am sure that all of you feel the same as I feel.

I am so touched by her, and by the story of this fascinating family. I am sure that I can convey on behalf of all of you, to send her this from this stage: Our admiration, and wishes for a long and healthy life.

This is the first time for me to be in Korea.

What wonderful achievements the people of Korea have reached!

I also would like to express my appreciation to Dr. Thomas Walsh, president of UPF International, for chairing this wonderful conference, and to all the great staff.

I am so happy to be here and experience your warm hospitality and see the attention you pay to any small detail.

I am one of you, a member of this big family, and would like to conclude with a prayer I love very much. I will say it first in Hebrew: עושה שלום במרומיו, הוא יעשה שלום עלינו, ועל כל העולם, ואמרו אמן

Now the translation in English: God, the one who makes peace in His heavens, He will be the one to make peace on earth, and to bring peace to all humanity of the world. And let us say together: Amen!
