New Dehli, India—
Work Project: The participants worked from January 4th to the 11th to restore parts of the floor and windows in a Methodist Church and also repaired portions of a Delhi mosque to model the cooperation between people of faith.
Summary: This project provided an opportunity for RYS to involve alumni and their friends and contacts. The use of local religious and technical advisors was important to begin to build grassroots foundation. The project, though small, kept an interreligious base and provided meaningful and helpful work for the community. Importantly, this project helped lay a foundation for future local, national, and regional projects in South Asia.
