Background: Bangladesh became the first predominately Muslim country to host an RYS. The nation suffers from periodic tension and violence between the Muslim and Hindu communities. This national level project became a visible demonstration of Muslim, Hindu and Christian cooperation, a substantial model for a better future.
Duration: January 24 - 31, 1992
Work: Participants did light construction and restoration work on a school.
Summary: This first national project was served to pull in a large number of good students into the RYS vision.
