Kodzi, Ghana

Background: RYS had been looking to develop a model of its programs in West Africa and was able to work with alumni and advisors in Ghana to put together a project on a modest budget. The result of the project was the development of RYS clubs at campuses in Ghana and the development of over ten seminars and several major RYS projects in Ghana.

Duration: April 9 - May 4, 1992

Work: RYS participants worked on the renovation of a local school with ten classrooms. Much of the work consisted of moving earth and bricks, laying bricks, clearing grounds, landscaping and other light construction work.
