UPF-Albania Observes UN Global Day of Parents

Durrës, Albania—An event celebrating the family also was the occasion to award Ambassador for Peace certificates to 22 distinguished citizens.
The first event of 2023 organized by the Durrës Peace Council was titled "Peace Begins with Me and My Family!"
The event was held on June 6, 2023, in the concert hall of the Jan Kukuzeli Music School with an audience of about 70, who included Ambassadors for Peace, distinguished personalities of the city of Durrës, and young people.
The purpose of the event was to honor with the title of Ambassador for Peace some distinguished citizens for their special contributions in their fields. The event was held within the framework of UN Global Day of Parents, in order to preserve and uplift family values.
Marsida Baloshi, the secretary of the Durrës Peace Council, moderated the event. Durrës Peace Council Chairman Ardian Hasku and UPF-Albania President Dr. Eva Çipi offered words of welcome to the audience.
The unique value of the family was emphasized in a presentation given by UPF-Albania Secretary General Gani Rroshi.
Then 22 distinguished figures, mostly from the city of Durrës, were awarded the title of Ambassador for Peace.
Special thanks to the head of the Durrës Peace Council for highlighting valuable figures to become part of the great family of peace. Thanks also to the young women singers from the city of Elbasan, whose performance elicited wonderful emotions.
