Conference Inaugurates UPF in Kindu, DR Congo

Kindu, DR Congo - UPF-DR Congo held an inaugural conference in Kindu in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo on Dec. 17, 2013 with 127 participants. Twenty-four new Ambassadors for Peace were appointed, including deputies, provincial ministers, physicians, high state officials, magistrates, religious leaders, traditional chiefs, a provincial director, and an editor for national television. The theme of the conference was "Conflicts in DR Congo: A Challenge for the Achievement of the MDGs."
