Water, Food, and Medical Supplies for Haiti

The Universal Peace Federation invites all Ambassadors for Peace to help in relief efforts in Haiti following the January 12 earthquake that devastated the capital, Port-au-Prince, and left tens of thousands dead.
UPDATE: 100% of all donations collected is sent to the United Nations World Food Programme to provide fresh drinking water and food for the survivors.

The UN's emergency operations have been extended through the end of 2010, and ongoing donations will be needed.
Help provide emergency relief to victims of the earthquake in Haiti through our partner organization the International Relief Friendship Foundation (IRFF). They are delivering food and medical supplies to the people of Haiti.
With the tragic earthquake in Haiti, IRFF has set in motion our immediate response effort. IRFF is a partner organization of Global Disaster Response Network (http://www.gdrn.org), which has 12 non-profit organization members. One group is already on the ground in Haiti, giving us a daily assessment of the situation and the immediate needs there.
Christian Disaster Response, whom we have worked with for some 20 years, has secured donations of medical supplies and a trailer loaded with canned and packaged food from the Mormon Church.
The urgent need is to gather funds for trucking charges to West Palm Beach, Florida, where arrangements have been made with a shipping company to send at least three 20-foot containers to Haiti. This is about $2,500 each.
Further plans to assist in relief efforts will be implemented based on securing additional funding, but the immediate need of survivors is food and medical treatment, which, with your help, we can deliver right away.
