Lyubertsy, Russia—UPF volunteers supported a campaign by Moscow Region authorities to collect used electronics and household appliances for recycling.
The event that was held on April 13, 2022, in the Moscow Region city of Lyubertsy was part of the All-Russian environmental program "School of Recycling: Electronics" organized by the District Environmental Protection Department.
One day earlier, 10 volunteers of UPF of Moscow Region organized the collection of electronics and household appliances among volunteers and subscribers as part of the “Spring Week of Kindness” and donated this significant amount for the program in Lyubertsy.
The Lyubertsy District is a leader in separate collection of waste, increasing the percentage of recyclable materials for recycling.
The purpose of this action is the formation of an ecological culture and ethical principles as guidelines for environmentally responsible behavior, increasing personal responsibility for the state of the environment.
Within the framework of the “School of Recycling: Electronics” project, the EcoLine company held master classes on household waste management and recycling of electronics.
Such events are very important for the younger generation and the environment, and also make it clear that we can have less waste and more recycled resources.
