Russia-2022-04-19-UPF-Russia Collects Plastic Caps for Charity

Moscow, Russia—UPF volunteers took part in a campaign to collect plastic bottle caps, which are used to purchase wheelchairs and rehabilitation equipment for children in foster families.

From April 17 to 19, 2022, the Moscow branch of UPF held a project called #GOOD_CAPS as part of the Spring Week of Kindness 2022, a project of the federal government.

Every year UPF supporters donate a large number of plastic caps, and this year the Joy of Life children's center, whose youngsters regularly donate caps, joined the campaign in advance.

In addition to collecting caps, the 15 UPF volunteers also collected a large amount of waste paper. Dmitry Samko, the head of UPF-Moscow, submitted the paper as part of the annual environmental campaign Ecomarathon RECYCLING whose motto is "Turn Waste Paper—Save the Tree!"

At the end of the campaign, Mr. Samko had a meeting with Alexander Shlapak, first deputy chairman of the Council of Deputies of the Lyubertsy District, to discuss future cooperation.

Thanks to all who participated in the campaign to collect plastic caps and waste paper. Such actions form an ecological culture and a sense of responsibility for the environment. Together we can make our world cleaner and kinder!
