UPF-Russia Makes Eco-Awareness Fun

Russia-2022-07-23-UPF-Russia Makes Eco-Awareness Fun

Voronezh, Russia—Knowledge of recyclables was the theme of a competition held by UPF-Russia as part of an Environmental Knowledge Day celebration.

The one-day event was held on July 23, 2022, in the southwestern Russian city of Voronezh.

A total of 130 people participated in the learning experience, which included questions on how many years it takes for different types of waste to decompose, how to sort garbage at home, and which packaging is least harmful for the environment.

Six volunteers from the city’s volunteer centre actively helped in the event. Elena Knyazeva, the coordinator of ecological programs for UPF-Russia, had trained the volunteers in conducting an environmental “quest,” and so the volunteers supervised the quest stations flawlessly.
