Vavuniya, Sri Lanka—The Sri Lanka chapters of UPF, the Religious Youth Service (RYS) and the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP) distributed dry rations in the Muslim holy month of Ramadan on April 8, 2023 to 145 underprivileged families in Sooduventhapulavu village in Vavuniya district in the Northern Province, Sri Lanka who have been severely impacted by the ongoing economic crisis in the country.
The project was funded by donations that were raised by two long-time supporters of UPF-Sri Lanka, Ms. Fazida Razak, a former regional director of RYS International, and Ms. Angelia Davi from Singapore.
